Fenrir Studios and the game Dark Storm was first imagined in late 2006 when Robert Smith and Javonni Ortiz were attending Webber Institute of Science and Technologies. The game was put on hold at that time and then picked up again in June 2012. They have compiled a team of over 50 artists and programmers and Dark Storm is nearing completion.

Dark Storm

In Dark Storm's prolouge, take control of Amber and attempt to survive when the Alaskan lab you're employed at is suddenly attacked. Use stealth to out wit your enemies, or delve into the highly detailed weapon list and find a favorite. Challenge yourself with the dynamic AI that scales to your ability. Explore the rich environments of the lab to find out what went wrong and immerse yourself in the absorbing story that takes place over several chapters. Dark Storm: VR Missions, developed with UDK is a fully realized project that plays more like a single player game than a modest technical demo of mostly unfinished ideas and gameplay mechanics. Featuring hours of extensive training and combat courses, the VR Missions is fully voice acted, featuring large and challenging levels of progressive difficulties, exciting stealth gameplay, and 10 VR simulations that will test the players’ skills to their limits! We at Fenrir Studios believe that the Dark Storm: VR Missions are a necessary way to prove to potential backers that we are committed to this project, and are fully aware of our strengths and weaknesses moving forward with our launch title, Dark Storm: Ascension.

The Story so Far...

By the year 2034, the world is on the brink of a Third World War as the United States and the Russian Federation is locked in a new Cold War. However, unlike the old era rivalry fought between two competing ideologies (Democracy and Communism), this new Cold War is one being waged over energy. With natural resources almost all but extinguished, with fewer than fifty years of oil left in reserve, the world powers have begun to explore alternative means to fuel the next century; to fail would mean to the end of civilization as we know it. The leading hope is that Dark Matter might prove to be the golden ticket, as it has the possibility to bring about a new era for mankind, and solving the growing energy concerns that are fracturing the world. But who will crack the Dark Matter formula first?
